Job Description
• Support the Wealth Management product owner to develop and manage Wealth Management products and propositions for private and commercial clients to drive sustainable business growth. Wealth Management ‘Products’ include Investment Management and Wealth Planning (aka Financial Planning) products and services. ‘Propositions’ set out how these products are delivered to groups of target market clients.
• The role manages existing propositions and products, develops and implements new ones to deliver the right outcomes for clients as well as meeting the strategic goals of the business.
• Where applicable, to place the interests of customers at the centre of all activities, act in a way that is consistent with achieving good outcomes for consumers; and to comply with the FCA and PRA's Conduct Rules.
Key Responsibilities:
• In partnership with the product owner and key stakeholders support the identification and assessment of opportunities to enhance client and product propositions aligned to strategic objectives, develop products to meet business needs.
• Use client insights and research to demonstrate the client need and scope, provide analysis of competitors and industry.
• With limited oversight, design and deliver product & proposition initiatives meeting target market client needs (including vulnerable clients) and Consumer Duty outcomes e.g. fair value.
• Identify foreseeable client harm and design controls to manage it.
• Produce proposal papers (business case documents) on behalf of the product owner for submission to the Product Governance Committee (PGC). Support the presentation of proposals to achieve approval.
• Project manage delivery of initiatives to time and budget, set milestones, identify resource requirements, and coordinate SMEs across the business.
• Keep key stakeholders aware of progress and highlight matters for resolution.
• Perform robust product & proposition testing.
• Work with marketing to effectively launch new products and propositions. Provide effective guidance to more junior Product and Proposition team members and line management where applicable.
• Product & Proposition Management
• Regular document reviews to ensure product information is accurate and supports client understanding.
• Perform post-launch reviews of all new products to check the objectives set out in the design are being met and client outcomes are being delivered.
• Monitor product & proposition performance and keep stakeholders aware.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing products & propositions and make recommendations to product owners e.g. new product features.
• Identify pain points in client journeys, operational engagement to deliver improvements. Decommission products & propositions which are no longer required or are not delivering appropriate client or business outcomes.
Product & Proposition Governance
• Complete annual product and service reviews of all Wealth Management products, identify and make recommendations for improvements.
• Assess whether products & propositions operate in line with the requirements of the New Consumer Duty and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Product technical support, keep abreast of changes & developments in the Wealth Management market. Ensure compliance with product policies and procedures and risk frameworks.
Risk:
• Responsible for managing risks inherent to the role by diligently observing internal policies and procedures.

Person Specification
Knowledge/Experience:
• Experience in a related role within the Private Banking / Wealth Management Sector, e.g. product development, product proposition/strategy or credit risk
• Demonstrable track record of delivering new products and/or propositions,
• Understanding of the regulatory environment e.g. New Consumer Duty
• Demonstrable track record of managing and co-ordinating project work
• Experience of people management and developing capabilities in direct reports.
• In depth understanding of Wealth Management products including discretionary management services and retail investment, pension and protection products.
Skills
• Strong at forming partnerships and collaboration with good influencing skills.
• Excellent communication skills, oral and written.

• Ability to think creatively and commercially to find solutions and implement change.
• Ability to work with MI and data sets to generate actionable insights.

Qualifications:
• Relevant degree or equivalent experience
